Romans 8

There is therefore now no condemnation to {you}{CNC} who {are} in {Me}, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in {Me} has made {you} free from the law of sin and death, {child}.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, {I} did: [J:sending {Me},] {My} own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, {I} condemned sin in the flesh,

So that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in {you}, {NC}who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to [a_the Spirit|{My} Spirit|the spirit].

For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but {youI} who {are} according to [a_the Spirit|{My} Spirit|the spirit] set {your} mind on the things of [a_the Spirit|{My} Spirit|the spirit].

For the [b_flesh-mind|mind set on the flesh] is death; but the [b_spirit-mind|mind set on [a_the Spirit|{My} Spirit|the spirit]] is life and peace, {child}.

Because the [b_flesh-mind|mind set on the flesh] is enmity against {Me}{CN}; for it does not submit to {My} law, for indeed it cannot.

So, then, if {youI} were in the flesh, {youI} would not be able to please {Me}.

But {youI} {are} not in the flesh, {NC}but in the Spirit, [c_since|if] {My} Spirit dwells in {you}. Now if {youI} did not have {My} Spirit, {youI} would not be {Mine}.

But [c_since|if] {youI} {are} in {Me}, {your} body is dead because of sin, but {your} spirit is [alive|life] because of righteousness.

And [c_since|if] {My} Spirit [J:(who raised {Me} up from the dead)] dwells in {you}, {I} [J:(who raised {Me} up from the dead)] will also give life to {your} mortal body by {My} Spirit who dwells in {you}.

[J:Therefore, {Mysibling}, {youI} {are} a debtor, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.]

For if {youI} live according to the flesh, {youI} will die; but if through {My} Spirit {youI} mortify the deeds of {your} body, {youI} will live{CN}.

For {youI} who {are} led by {My} Spirit {are} {My} {child_child}.

For {youI} have not received [the spirit of bondage again to fear|a spirit that makes {you} a slave again to fear]; but {youI} have received [a_the Spirit|{My} Spirit|the spirit] of [adoption|sonship], by which {youI} cry to {Me}, “Abba, Father!”

[S:{I} the Spirit {Myself} bear witness with {your} spirit] that {youI} {are} {My} {child_child}{CN};

And if {My} {child_child}, then {My} heir; an heir of {Me}, God, [J:and a joint-heir with {Me}, Christ; if indeed {youI} suffer with {Me}, so that we may also be glorified together.]

For I [reckon|consider] that {your} present sufferings are not worthy to be compared with the glory which [{I} will reveal|will be revealed] in {you}{CN}.

For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for {your} manifestation as {My} {child_child}.

For the creation was made subject to [vanity|futility], not willingly, but because {I} have subjected it[d_ in hope,|, in hope]

[d_because|that] the creation itself will also be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious [liberty|freedom] {youI} have as {My} {child_child}{CN}.

For {youI} know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

And not only they, but {youI} {yourself} also, who have the firstfruits of {My} Spirit, even {youI} {yourself} groan within {yourself}, waiting for the adoption, that is, the redemption of {your} body.

For {youI} {are} saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for why would {youI} hope for what {youI} see{CN}?

But [c_since|if] {youI} hope for what {youI} do not see, then {do}wait for it with patience, {child}.

[S:Likewise {I} the Spirit also help [{you} in {your} weakness|{your} infirmities]{CN}; for {youI} do not know what {youI} should pray for as {youI} ought; but {I} {Myself} make intercession for {you} with groanings which cannot be uttered.]

And {I} who search {your} heart know the mind of {My} Spirit, [J:because {I} make intercession for {you}, {My} saint,] according to {My} will.

[G:Know][M:I know] that all things work together for good to [e_{you} who love {Me}|{you}, for {youI} love {Me}], [e_to {you} who|for {youI}] {are} called according to {My} purpose.

For {you} whom {I} foreknew, {I} also predestined to be conformed to the image of {My} Son, [J:that {I} might be the firstborn among {you_us}, {My} many brothers and sisters.]

Moreover, {you} whom {I} predestined, {I} also called; and {you} whom {I} called, {I} also justified; and {you} whom {I} justified, {I} also glorified.

What then will {youI} say to these things? If {I} {am} for {you}, who can be against {you}{CN}?

{I} who did not spare {My} own Son, but delivered Him up for {you}, how will {I} not with Him also freely give {you} all things, {Mychild}?

Who will lay any charge against {you}, {My} elect? It is {I} who justify{CN}.

Who [are they who condemn|is he that condemns]? [J:It is {I} who died, yes, rather, who {am} risen again, who {am} even at the right hand of God, who also make intercession for {you}, {sibling}.]

Who shall separate {you} from {My} love{CN}? Will [tribulation|oppression|trouble], or [distress|anguish], or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or [peril|danger], or sword?

As it is written, “For {My} sake {you_we} are killed all the day long; {you_we} are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

No{CN}, in all these things {youI} {are} more than a conqueror through {Me} who loved {you}.

[G:Be][M:For I am] [persuaded|convinced], {Mychild}: neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

nor height, nor depth, nor [any other created thing|any other creature|anything else in all creation], will be able to separate {you} from {My} love{CN}, [J:which is in {Me}, Christ Jesus {your} Lord.]
