5 {I} have [hemmed {you} in|beset {you}] behind and before and laid {My} hand upon {you}.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for {you}, {child}; it is high, {youI} cannot attain to it.

7 Where will {youI} go from {My} spirit{CN}? or where will {youI} flee from {My} presence?

8 If {youI} ascend into heaven, {I} {am} there; if {youI} make {your} bed in [hell|Sheol|the grave], behold, {Mychild}, {I} {am} there.

9 If {youI} take the wings of the morning and [dwell|settle] in the [remotest part|uttermost parts|far side] of the sea;

10 Even there {My} hand will [lead|guide] {you}, {NC}and {My} right hand will [hold {you}|hold {you} fast].

11 If {youI} say, “Surely the darkness will cover me; even the night will be light about me”;

12 Behold, the darkness does not hide from {Me}, {child}; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to {Me}.

13 For {I} have created {your} [inmost being|inward parts]; {I} [knit {you} together|have woven {you}] in {your} mother’s womb.

14 {Do_p}raise {Me}, {NC}for {youI} {are} fearfully and wonderfully made! Marvelous are {My} works, {child}; and that {your} soul knows [very|right] well.

15 {Your} [substance|frame] was not hid from {Me} when {I} made {you} in [secret|the secret place][ and curiously wrought {you}|, when {I} wove you together] in the [depths|lowest parts] of the earth.

16 {My} eyes saw {your} [unformed substance|frame, yet being unformed|unformed body]; and in {My} book [c_they were all written, the days ordained for {you}|all {your} members were written, which in continuance were fashioned], [before one of them came to be|when as yet there was none of them].

17 How precious also are {My} thoughts [concerning|to|about] {you}{CN}! How [vast|great] is the sum of them!

18 If {youI} should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when {youI} awake, {I} {am} still with {you}, {Mychild}.

19 Surely {I} will slay the wicked{CN}; depart from [G:{My} {child}][M:me], therefore, {you} [bloodthirsty men|bloody men|men of blood|men of bloodshed]!

20 For they speak against {Me} wickedly, and {My} enemies take {My} name in vain.

21 [G:{I} know that ]{youI} hate those who hate {ME}{CN}, and [G:that ]{youI} {are} grieved with those who rise up against {Me}.

22 [G:{I} know that ]{youI} hate them with perfect hatred; that {youI} count them {your} enemies.
